Terms of Use

Veluma helps you discover and book independent beauty and wellness businesses. When you book an appointment, your agreement for that service is directly between you and the business — Veluma isn't a party to it. We provide the platform that connects you and helps manage the booking; the business provides the actual service.

You can book as a guest or create an account. Accounts use a secure email sign-in link — no password. Keep access to your email secure, as anyone with your inbox could sign in. Accounts are for people aged 16 or over. Please give accurate details so businesses can serve you and reach you if needed.

Services, prices, availability and appointment details are set by each business, not by Veluma. When you book, you're asking to make an appointment with that business on the terms they've set. We'll send you a confirmation and, where enabled, a reminder. Please arrive on time and treat businesses and their staff with respect.

Unless stated otherwise at the time of booking, Veluma does not take payment for appointments — you pay the business directly, typically at your appointment, according to their pricing. If we introduce deposits or online payment in future, we'll make the terms clear before you pay.

You can view, reschedule or cancel upcoming bookings from your account, subject to the business's own cancellation policy and notice periods. Some businesses may charge for late cancellations or no-shows under their own terms. If you can't make an appointment, please cancel as early as you can out of courtesy to the business and other customers.

You may be able to leave a review after a genuine appointment. Reviews must be honest, based on your own experience, and must not be false, abusive, defamatory or otherwise unlawful. We may moderate, decline or remove content that breaches these terms. By posting a review you grant us a licence to display and share it on Veluma.

When using Veluma, you agree not to:

• make fake or malicious bookings, or misuse a business's time;
• post false, abusive or unlawful content;
• impersonate anyone or provide false details;
• attempt to disrupt, scrape or gain unauthorised access to the service.

Businesses on Veluma are independent and responsible for their own services, standards, listings and conduct. We don't provide the treatments, don't guarantee any particular business or outcome, and aren't responsible for the quality of the services you receive. Any issue with a service should be raised with the business directly.

We try to keep information on Veluma accurate and the service available, but we provide it “as is” and can't guarantee it will always be complete, accurate or uninterrupted.

Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law. Subject to that, Veluma is a free service to you and, to the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts, omissions or services of the businesses you book. Your statutory rights against those businesses are unaffected.

How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. Note that the business you book with is responsible for how it uses your information under its own privacy notice.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated, and continuing to use Veluma means you accept the current version.

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction over any dispute.
